Linear functions are those which have a straight line as graph. They contain 2 variables, one is dependent variable and other is independent variable.

Suppose you are going to super market to buy some sugar.

The rate of sugar is Rs: 50 per kg.

Let $x$ be the amount of sugar you buy (in Kgs).

The above situation can be represented as,
