Chaucer's 'Prologue to Canterbury Tales'
Answers
Answer:
story name please i can't understand it
Answer:
i have not read the complete poem yet but from what I have read here it is
Explanation:
the most interesting character found thus far is of the madame eglentyne she is supposed to be a nun
but from what chaucer describes she speaks French which in that time only well educated and classy fashionable people spoke
she has table manners as nuns go they are supposed to sleep less eat little and pray to God but this woman loves to eat and is indeed described fashionable
though chaucer does not hate her he finds her amusing nonetheless
she cries when she sees a mouse hurt in a cage
but feeds her dogs meat without flinch
another interesting character is of the monk
monks are to follow a simple life of poverty obedience celibacy
but since the wealth of monestry increased the monk came to money and now owns estates and horses and enjoys hunting
hope this helps a bit
