2 (2)^2 + x ( \frac{\sqrt{3}}{2})^2 - \frac{3}{4}\times (\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}})^2 = 10

8 + \frac{3x}{4}-\frac{3}{12}=10

\frac{3x}{4}=10+\frac{1}{4}-8

\frac{3x}{4}=\frac{40+1-32}{4}

\frac{3x}{4}=\frac{9}{4}

\implies x = \frac{36}{12}= 3
