Two dice are thrown,
Sum of numbers on both the dice ranges from 2 to 12

The Event E is the sum is neither divisible by 3 nor by 4

Case :
sum Should be 2, 5, 7, 10, 11

No.s on the dice satisfy ing the case mentioned are:

(1,1) ,
(1,4), (2,3), (3,2), (4,1),
(1,6), (2,5), (3,4), (4,3) ,(5,2),(6,1),
(4,6), (5,5), (6,4)
(5,6), (6,5)

No. of Favourable Outcomes n(E) = 16

Total No. Outcomes when two dice are rolled,
n(S) = 6² = 36

Probability= No. of Favourable Outcomes ÷ Total No. of Outcomes

Therefore,
Required Probability P(E) = \frac{16}{36}
