__________
◆ The molecules of the substance move from higher concentration to lower concentration.
◆ This occur in all medium (solid, liquid, gases).
◆ The molecules of the substance move from higher concentration to lower concentration through a semipermiable membrane.
◆ This occur in only liquid.

The spontaneous movement of a substance from higher concentration to lower concentration is called diffusion .
The movement of water molecules though a selectively permeable membrane to higher concentration to lower concentrations .
(1) The motion of molecules is through the semipermeable membrane in Osmosis whereas in diffusion motion is direct and does not required is semipermeable membrane .
(2) Osmosis undertake in liquid medium only where's the process of diffusion Undertaker in many medium like solid liquid gas .
I hope it is useful then please mark my brain list .
