A botanical garden is garden for collecting, cultivating and preserving plants which has been tagged with its botanical names. A botanical name is the scientific name given for plants by the ‘International Code of Nomenclature for cultivated plants’. Botanical gardens are run by research organisations or universities who maintain a document of plants collection which can be used for any research purpose.

Zoological parks are dedicated to the wild life. It includes large number of wild animals kept under human control. They are also known as zoo or conservation centers. People visit these zoos to see variety of animals and to learn about them. Zoological parks are needed to maintain the ecological balance. People need a lot of experience and knowledge to maintain a zoological park as right from proper vaccination of these animals to providing adequate food for them is a difficult task.

Biodiversity parks are maintained to conserve the biodiversity and natural resources found in a specific area. It includes the preservation of its stocks too. It is done to safeguard all our flora and fauna, to impose restrictions on illegal use of rare animals and plants, to protect the endangered and rare species to use all resources in a sustainable way. Conserving our biodiversity is very important as we are dependent on our ecosystem.
