• Draw the line segment PQ of 10.2cm

• Take the compass and place the pointed of the compass on point Q.

• Then take more than half of the distance in the compass and draw arcs above the line segment and below the line segment as shown in the image.

• Do the same placing the pointed of the compass on point P.

• Draw a line joining the intersection point of the arcs as shown in the image.
