A is 30% more than B.

So, A = B + 30% of B = B + 30/100 *B = B + 3/10 *B = 13/10 *B

B is 60% less than C.

So, B = C - 60% of C = C - 60/100 *C = C - 3/5 *C = 2/5 *C

So, A = (13/10)*(2/5)*C = 13/25 *C.

So, we get C > A.

The difference: C - A = C - 13/25 *C = 12/25 *C

Hence, the percentage by which A is less than C = (C-A)/C *100 = 12/25 *100 = 48%.

Answer:

Given

A =B+20%of B

= B +20/100of B

=B+B/5

  • A =6B/5 first

now

B = C of 30%of C

= C of 3C /10.

=13C/10. second.

from putting the value of B

A=6(13C/10)/5.

=78C/50.

since A %=(78C/50×100/13C/10)%.

=(78C /13C× 10)%.

=(6× 10).%

=60%.

hence A is 60% more than C
