2 litres of a gas is enclosed in a vessel at a pressure of 760mm hg. if temprature remains constant , calculate pressure when volume changes to 4 dm cube

4 decimeter cube equal to 4 litre

PV = n RT

at constant temperature PV is constant

that is P is inversely proportional to V

as volume Doubles pressure reduced to half

i.e P final = 380 mm of Hg

V1=2litres

V2=4dm3=4 litres

P2=?

According to BOYLE'S LAW.....

P1V1=P2V2

760×2=P2×4

769×2/4=P2

==380 mmHg
