The density of alcohol = 0.8 g/cm³

Given :

2 litres of alcohol has a mass of 1.6kg

To find :

The density of alcohol

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Write down volume and mass of alcohol

Here it is given that 2 litres of alcohol has a mass of 1.6kg

Volume = 2 litres = 2000 cm³

Mass = 1.6 kg = 1600 gram

Step 2 of 2 :

Calculate the density of alcohol

The density of alcohol

\displaystyle \sf{ = \frac{Mass}{ Volume }}

\displaystyle \sf{ = \frac{1600}{2000} \: \: g/ {cm}^{3} }

\displaystyle \sf{ = 0.8 \: \: g/ {cm}^{3} }
