Answer:
I have imported a .docx file with comments and track changes. I like the feature of importing the comments and track changes but can barely read the document due to the number of changes made. I would like to view the document in what would be the equivalent of "simple markup" under track changes in word, where it does not show all the messy deletions etc. How can I edit this document without while viewing it as it would be printed, not with all the messy changes?
Explanation:
To review your document to see how it would look if the proposed changes were accepted and integrated, go to Tools > Review suggested edits. In the window that opens, click on the arrow beside Show suggested edits and select Preview "Accept all".
This will show you how the document will look with your edits accepted. However, you will not be able continue to make edits -- this is only a preview mode -- so you will have to exit the preview (click on the X at the top right of the preview menu) to continue editing.
