A Green Planet insinuates a planet that has a high percentage of vegetation cover on land and in viable parts of the oceans. The biggest threat to vegetation is pollution. Occuring in various ways, air; water; and soil pollution, it annahilates most vegetation. On land, pollution through chemicals in fertilizers and pesticides increase and (or) decreases the pH levels of the soil. This change affects vegetation directly as the are used to nature-controlled levels of pH. Their adaptation to the rapidly changing and ever-varrying levels is to die out. Pollution in the air originates from emissions of machines. Factory machines, vehicles , aircrafts and water vessels emmit harmfully gases that destroy the ozone layer which protects the Earth's surface from harmful sun rays. Water pollution is caused by fluid emmisions from factories, oil spillage and irresponsibly dumped plastics. They poision the water and end up killing marine life.
