2 ml of sodium hydroxide solution is added to a few pieces of granulated zinc metal taken in a test tube when the content are warmed a gas evolve which is bubbled through a soap solution before testing. write the equation of chemical reaction involved and the test to detect the gas name the gas which will be evolved which will be evolved when the same metal react with dilute solution of a strong acid

Equation :
2Zn + 2NaOH —> Na2ZnO2 + H2
The evolved gas is hydrogen. The test to confirm it’s presence: when we bring a burning splinter or a matchstick and it is put off with a ‘pop’ sound, then we can say that the gas evolved is HYDROGEN
The gas that’s will be evolved when zinc reacts with an acid is also hydrogen
For example: H2SO4 + Zn —>ZnSO4 + H2. [dont need to write this for the answer - I typed for u to understand the stuff]
Hope it helps ya
