2. Mr. Ajay wants to purchase new printers for the organization as the current printers are outdated and the cost per print is high. Whenever the printers stop working the service provided from the company is very poor. It takes them seven days to resolve minor issues. This is affecting the productivity of people. There are seven departments and all the departments’ printer need to be replaced. Explain the decision making process that Ajay should follow for purchase of best printers for the organization. plz give answer for this case study

In order to decide what sort of printers Mr. Ajay should buy for his organization, it is suggested to go through the following decision making process,  

- Identify the problem: In the given case the problem is poor performance of printers, increasing printing cost and delayed performance of employees due to faulty printers. In addition poor customer services by the organization where the printers had been purchased from is also a serious concern.

- Develop alternative solutions: Alternative options can be developed by involving employees to suggest the best printer.  

- Evaluate the alternatives: According to the criterion, evaluate the each alternative solution identified in step no. 2. Criterion may be superior after sale customer services, cheap price of printers, cheap printing cost, quality of printing etc.  

- Select the best solution: After evaluating the alternatives, select the option that satisfies the maximum requirements or fulfilling the criteria.

- Implement the decision: an order may be placed with the supplier of the desired printers.

- Follow up: After purchasing, the performance of the printers may be monitored in order to identify whether the chosen solution is actually satisfying all the criteria that have been developed in step 3.
