Let the length of the parallel sides be (7x)cm and (11x)cm
Area of the trapezium=(1/2)×(sum of parallel sides)×(distance between them)
306 cm²=(1/2)×(7x+11x)×17
306=(1/2)×(18x)×17
306=153x ⇒x=306/153=2 cm
Length of the parallel sides=7x=7×2=14 cm
11x=11×2=22 cm
Area of the trapezium=(1/2)×(sum of parallel sides)×(distance between them)
306 cm²=(1/2)×(7x+11x)×17
306=(1/2)×(18x)×17
306=153x ⇒x=306/153=2 cm
Length of the parallel sides=7x=7×2=14 cm
11x=11×2=22 cm
