Heya
a^m × a^n = a^(m+n)
2^(x+4) - 2^(x+2) = 3
(2^x)(2⁴) - (2^x)(2²) = 3
2^x (16-4) = 3
2^x(12)=3
2^x = 3/12 = 1/4
2^x = 1/2²
2^x = 2^-2
X is -2
Hope it helps! ^_^
