Scurvy is a disease caused due to deficiency of vitamin C. It is the disease that leads to bleeding gums and joint pains. Later, it can cause hemorrhage and increased chances of "iron deficiency anemia".
Its remedy is supplementation of vitamin c. The increase of lime products in a meal helps in quick healing of disease. Vitamin C supplements or multivitamin tablets and syrups are necessary in case of a diseased person. It should be remembered that vitamin C is highly heated labile.
