Since, ∠BOD and ∠DOA form a linear pair.

∠BOD + ∠DOA = 180o

∴ ∠BOD + ∠DOC + ∠COA = 180o

⇒ (x + 20)o + 55o + (3x – 5)o = 180o

⇒ x + 20 + 55 + 3x – 5 = 180

⇒ 4x + 70 = 180

⇒ 4x = 180 – 70 = 110

⇒ x = \(\frac { 110 }{ 4 }  \) = 27.5

∴ ∠AOC = (3 × 27.5 – 5)o  = 82.5-5 = 77.5o

And, ∠BOD = (x + 20)o = 27.5o + 20o = 47.5o.
