Answer:

x=-2or x=3÷2

let assume tanA=x

2x square+xtanA-6

2x square+4x-3x-6

2x(x+2)-3(x+2)

(2x-3)(x+2)

x=3÷2,x=-2

Solution

2  \: {tan \: }^{2} a \:  +  \: tan \: a - 6

Assume that ,

  • tan a = x

Now put 'x' in place of tan a -

2 {x}^{2}  + x - 6

2 {x}^{2}  + 4x - 3x - 6

2x(x + 2) - 3(x + 2)

(2x - 3)(x + 2)

2x - 3 = 0 \\ 2x = 3 \\ x =  \frac{3}{2}

x + 2 = 0 \\ x =  - 2

Now put the (tan a) in place of x

</strong><strong> </strong><strong>tan \: a \:  =  \frac{3}{2}</strong><strong> </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\</strong><strong> a =  {tan}^{ - 1} ( \frac{3}{2} )</strong><strong>

x =  - 2 \\ tan \: a =  - 2 </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\</strong><strong> a =  {tan}^{ - 1} ( - 2)
