area = 32cm²

diagonal AC is 8

perpendicular from from D =?

area of quadrilateral is 1/2 × diagonal × sum of perpendicular on the diagonal from the opposite vertices.

1/2 ×8× (4+x)

32 = 4×(4+X )

(4+x) ×4=32

4+x = 8

8/4

x=4
