2. The path from P to Q is 3 km uphill, then 8 km on
level ground and then 6 km downhill. A man can
walk 1 km/hour uphill, 4 km/hour on level path

Time required to go uphill = 3 hrs

Time required to cover ground level = 2 hr

Time required to go downhill = 1 hr

( speed = distance/time )

Total time required to go from P to Q = 3+2+1 = 6 hrs

Time required to come back = 2 × 6 = 12 hrs

Hope u understood
