The snow shoes have large, flat soles so they exert less pressure (= force /area) on the soft snow and stop the wearer from sinking into it.

thanks
P = F/A
so the force will be
F = P x A
here
P = pressure = 500 Pa
A = area = 0.5 m2
thus, we get
F = 500 x 0.5
so force is
F = 250 N
