b). Easton feel embarrassed because he meets one of his old acquaintance, Miss Fairchild while he is being taken to Leavenworth Prison. At first, Mr. Easton was a part of the social elite. But, now he is a criminal accused of counterfeiting and he never wanted her to know the truth in case of her old friend.
