Given : Two fair dice are rolled together.

To Find :  The probability that the difference of numbers appearing is 1

Solution:

 dice has number  rom 1 to 6

Two fair dice are rolled together.

=> Total outcomes = 6 * 6 = 36

difference of numbers appearing is 1

{(1,2).(2,1),(2,3),(3,2),(3,4),(4,3),(4.5),(5.4),(5,6),(6,5)}

Total possible combination = 10

The probability that the difference of numbers appearing is 1 = 10/36

= 5/18

The probability that the difference of numbers appearing is 1 =  5/18
