x +y = 8 (eq1)

x - y = 2 (eq2)

adding both equation we get

2x = 10

x = 5

putting the value in eq1 we get

y = 8 - 5

y = 3

now

=> 2x²+ 2y²

=> 2(5)² + 2(3)²

=> 2 x 25 + 2 x 9

=> 50+ 18

=> 68
