let the three sides of the triangle be a, a and 2a

then, s=1/2(a+a+2b)

=1/2(2a+2b)=a+b

By using Hero's formula we have,

√s(s-a) (s-b) (s-c) =√a+b(a+b-a) (a+b-a)(a+b-2b)

=√(a+b)*b*b*a-b=b√(a+b)(a-b) =b√a^2-b^2
