2. Water in a cup can have a higher temperature than a bucket of water although cup has less amount of water .​

Explanation:

Less amount of water boils faster in compare with more amount of water... Also in a cup the surface area is less than the surface area in bucket and we know with a smaller surface area compared to bucket, cup can retain more heat in cold climates.
