Waterborne diseases caused by polluted drinking water include typhoid, amebiasis, giardiasis, ascariasis, hookworm, etc. Waterborne diseases caused by polluted beach water are rashes, ear ache, pink eye, respiratory infections, hepatitis, encephalitis, gastroenteritis, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach aches, etc.
