Antonio tells Bassanio that the latter knew him only too well upon spending time with him. He says that if he doubts their friendship and his will to spread out everything he has at the disposal of Bassanio then it is a sheer wastage of time and a lack of confidence betrayed. Antonio says he will do whatever is asked of him by Bassanio in his work.
