Answers
Answer:
2 . force is a push or pull. contact force is the force when we touchto apply force to any object. non contact force or force which is done by without touching.
3.
Answer:
2. push and pull of an object is called a force. Contact forces are those forces in which direct contact between the two bodies is required. For example, when a batsman in a game of cricket hits a ball there is a direct contact between the ball and bat and the force in this case is a contact force. Frictional force is good example of contact force.
Non contact forces are those forces in which two bodies interact without any direct contact. For example, when a ball is thrown it comes back to earth because of gravitational force of the earth. In this case field force forces a body to drop down without any direct contact.
3. Take a plastic bottle .Fix a small glass tube above the bottom of the plastic bottle. We should seal the joint of glass tube with plastic bottle by using molten wax so that water does not leak from the joint. Tie a thin sheet of rubber tightly on the open end of glass tube. Now fill half of plastic bottle with water. On filling water, the rubber sheet tied to the mouth of glass tube gets stretched and bulges out. The bulging out of rubber sheet tied to the glass tube fixed in the wall of plastic bottle demonstrates that water present in plastic bottle exerts pressure on the walls of the bottle. It is the sideways pressure exerted by water which inflates the thin rubber sheet forming a buldge. If we pour more water in the plastic bottle to increase depth, we will see that the bulge in the rubber sheet increases. This indicates that the pressure exerted by water increases with increasing depth.
