Let The No. Be (p) ,

2x+1 =0

2x=-1

x=-1/2

Therefore,

2x^3 - 3x^2 - 8x = 10

Putting the value of x,

2*(-1/2)^3 + 3*(-1/2)^2 - 8*(-1/2) + (p)

= 10

-2/8 - 3/4 + 8/2 + (p) = 10

-1/4 -3/4 + 4 + (p) = 10

-1 - 3 + 16 + 4(p) / 4 = 10

12 + 4(p) = 40

4(p) = 40 - 12

4(p) = 28

(p) = 7

So, The no. is 7.
