Tamil Nadu hosted the 2018 International Conference on Recent Advances in Food Processing Technology (iCRAFPT). It was held on 17th August at Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Thanjavur.  

The conference was inaugurated by Jagdish Prasad Meena, MoFPI secretary and Bijaya Kumar Behera, MoFPI economic advisor.

The conference was held to discuss about developing technologies that would help in further improving the quality of food in India.
