If the potential difference across a resistor is doubled then, only the current is doubled (Option A).

we know,

By Ohms law,

V = I R

now if the voltage is doubled and considering the resistance as constant then the current will be doubled as both voltage and current are directly proportional to each other.

Resistance can not change its value as it is a fixed quantity and is different for different resistors.
