As we know, there are many great scientists who have done good for physics. They are: Newton, Galileo and Einstein.
They all were called so because of their splendid works-
1) Newton - For his law and motion and gravitation.
2) Galileo - For his contributions on observational astronomy
3) Einstein - For the theory of relativity.
