1)because they are in capable of feeding themselves .

2)because they make food for plant with the help of water, soil and sunlight and transport it to other parts of the plant .

these plants contain legumes and nodules.these bacteria convert atmospheric nitrogen into soluble form that can be absorbed by the roots .

4)when fungi and bacteria break down they form process called biodegradation .it convert harmful oil into toxic components.they also help in reducing bad smell from environment.
