The present perfect should not be confused with the simple past tense
Remember that we use the present perfect when a specific past time
is not mentioned. When the past time is specified, we use the simple
past and not the present perfect.
Use the present perfect or the simple past tense of the verbs given in
the brackets.
Example "You (do) your homework? I (finish) mine last evening."
"Have you done your homework? I finished mine last evening.'
1. Meera (tell )me that her father just (return) from office.
2. The villagers (report) the damage of the bridge due to the floods, buts so
far nothing (happen).
3. I just (receive) a reminder from the electricity department saying that we (not pay) this month's bill. I (pay) the bill last month.
4. I (not see) your uncle recently. He (go) to Agra last month. He (come )back yet?
5. I (apply) for a job a month ago but I (not receive) any reply so far.
6. She finally (decide) to join us on the trip. She (take) so long to make up her mind.
