When a number of resistors are connected in series the equivalent resistance will be the sum of individual resistances like,
Re=R1+R2+R3....+Rn
When resistors are connected in parallel the sum of all the resistances will be less than the individual resistance
1/Re=1/R1+1/R2+1/R3....+1/Rn
Re=R1+R2+R3....+Rn
When resistors are connected in parallel the sum of all the resistances will be less than the individual resistance
1/Re=1/R1+1/R2+1/R3....+1/Rn
