2 wires a and b are of same metal for same area of cressection and have their lengths in the ratio of 2:1 what will be the ratio of current flowing through them when same potential difference is applied acress the length of each of them.

When length is double then resistance is
double
So 2×resistance of a=resistance of b
Let current flowing in a be I1 and in b be I2
then
I1=2R/V
and I2=R/V
so
I1/I2= 2R/V/R/V
=2/1
So required ratio is 2:1
