Answer:

The magnification produced by a plane mirror is +1 means that the image formed is virtual, erect and of the same size as that of object. Real image is always formed in front of the mirror and virtual image is formed behind the mirror. Object distance is always negative(according to convention). When the magnification is positive, that means image distance is positive or the image is formed behind the mirror. So it is virtual.

Explanation:

  • magnification is the ratio of the height of the image to the height of the object
  • it is also equal to negative of the ratio of the image distance to object distance
  • m=hi/h=-v/u
  • real image is always formed in front of the mirror and which wall image is formed behind the mirror
  • positive body image is formed behind the mirror so it's which virtual
  • and when the magnification is negative that means image distance is negative image is formed in front of the mirror so it's real

maybe it's helpful for you ☺️☺️☺️
