Precautions that need to be taken in cyclone prone areas, are as follows -

• Getting to a safe zone : A cyclone has tremendous amount of destroying capabilities. It can also destroy weakly constructed buildings. That's why, we need to shift in a strongly constructed safe zone which can withstand the destruction of a cyclone. This will prevent the unfortunate deaths.
• Evacuation : Sometimes the cyclones are extremely powerful, and there are chances of total annihilation of the regions in the path of that cyclone. In this situation, the early evacuation of the people of those regions is the most necessary precaution.

Safety drills, storing essential commodities, handling fragile items are some othe necessary precautions during a cyclone.
