 \rm \implies2(x - 2) + 3(4x - 1) = 0

 \rm \implies2x -4+ 12x - 3= 0

\rm \implies 14x - 7= 0

\rm \implies 14x = 7

\rm \implies x =  \dfrac{7}{14}

\rm \implies x =  \dfrac{1}{2}

Answer : x = 1/2

Verification of Answer :-

To verify our answer put x = 1/2 in 2(x-2) + 3(4x-1) = 0. If we get left hand side and right hand side equal then our answer is correct.

RHS = 0

LHS = 2(x-2) + 3(4x-1)

put x = 1/2 in LHS

\rm \implies2( \frac{1}{2} - 2) + 3( \frac{4}{2}- 1)

\rm \implies2( \frac{1 - 4}{2} ) + 3( \frac{2}{1}- 1)

\rm \implies(2 \times  \frac{ - 3}{2}  )+( 3 \times 1)

\rm \implies(1 \times  \frac{ - 3}{1}  )+( 3 \times 1)

\rm \implies - 3 + 3

\rm \implies0

Therefore , RHS = LHS

hence verified
