2 ( x - 2 ) - 3 ( x - 3 ) = 5 ( x - 5 )

2x - 4 - 3 ( x - 3 ) = 5 ( x - 5 )

2x - 4 - 3x + 9 = 5 ( x - 5 )

- x - 4 + 9 = 5 ( x - 5 )

- x + 5 = 5 ( x - 5 )

- x + 5 = 5x - 25

- x + 5 - 5x = 25

- 6x + 5 = - 25

- 6x = - 25 - 5

- 6x = - 30

x = - 30 / - 6

x = 5

• 2(x-2)-3(x-3)=5(x-5) ... (1)

• 2(x-2)-3(x-3)=5(x-5)

• 2x - 4 - 3x + 9 = 5x - 25

• 2x - 3x - 4 + 9 = 5x - 25

• - x + 5 = 5x - 25

Or

• 5x - 25 = - x + 5

• 5x + x = 5 + 25

• 6x = 30

• x = 30/6

• x = 5

Verification:

Put x=5 in equation (1)

• 2(5-2)-3(5-3) = 5(5-5)

• 2(3) -3(2) = 5(0)

• 6 - 6 = 0

• 0 = 0
