\Large{\underbrace{\sf{\orange{Required\:Solution:}}}}

\displaystyle{\sf{2(x+4)=-3(x-5)}}

  • Open the brackets and multiply the numbers.

\longrightarrow{\sf{2\times x + 2 \times 4 = -3 \times x - (-3)\times(-5)}}

\longrightarrow{\sf{2x+8=-3x-(15)}}

\longrightarrow{\sf{2x+8=-3x-15}}

  • Transpose -3x to L.H.S and +8 to R.H.S.

\longrightarrow{\sf{2x+3x=-15-8}}

\longrightarrow{\sf{5x=-23}}

  • Transpose 5 to R.H.S.

\large\implies{\boxed{\sf{\orange{x= \dfrac{-23}{5}}}}}
