x cannot have value -4 because if value of x is -4 then our question will not solve and value will not come zero.

the right answer is -1/2.

EXPLANATION

2/x+4=0

2/x=-4 ( by transposing 4)

2=-4x

2/4=-x

so value of x is -1/2 not -4
