2x-3y=9.......eq-1

2x+y=13......2

From eq 2

y=13-2x

put in eq 1

2x-3y=9

2x-3(13-2x)=9

2x-39+6x=9

8x=9+39

8x=48

x=6

Also.... y=13-2x

y=13-2(6)

y=13-12

y=1

hope this helps
