Answer:

2(y-5) + 5 = 15

First open the bracket by multiplying 2 with y and -5

2y - 10 + 5 = 15

now, add -10 and 5 on the LHS

2y -5 = 15

shift -5 to the RHS, the minus sign will get removed,

2y = 15 + 5

2y = 20

Now send 2 from the LHS to RHS. It will divide 20.

y = 20/2

And hence we get our answer,

y = 10

Hope it helps, if it does, pls mark as brainliest :))
