Let age of Ashish be = A

Son's age = S

----Before 2 years----

A - 2 = 3 ( S - 2 )

=> A = 3S - 4

----After 2 years----

2 ( A + 2 ) = 5 ( S + 2 )

=> 2A + 4 = 5S + 10

=> 6S - 8 + 4 = 5S + 10

=> S = 14 yrs

A = 38 yrs
