Solution:
let the present are of Salim be x
And the present are of his daughter be y
Now,
2year ago
Age of Salim=x-2
Age of her daughter=y-2
A/q
(x - 2) = 3(y - 2) \\ x - 2 = 3y - 6 \\ x - 3y =  - 4........(1)

After 6 years,
x + 6 = 2(y + 6) + 4 \\ x + 6 = 2y + 12 + 4 \\  x - 2y = 10.......(2)
On subtracting equation( 2 )from( 1),we get,
y=14
On putting the value of y in equation (1),we get,
x - 3 \times 14 =  - 4 \\ x - 42 =  - 4 \\ x = 38
Therefore,
Salim age=38 years
And her daughter agr=14 years.
