Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of 5 rupees note : x (1)

Let the number of 10 rupees note : 90-x (2)

According To Question

5x +10(90 -x) =500

5x + 900 - 10x =500

-5x +900 = 500

-5x = 500-900

-5x = - 400

x=400/5

x=80

Now, putting x (80) in 1 & 2

5rupees note =(x) 80

10rupees note = (90-80) 10

Step by Step Explanation-:

Given ,

The sum of ₹5 and ₹10 notes

denominations-: ₹500

The total number of notes = 90 notes

To find ,

The number of ₹5 and ₹10 notes

____________________________

Let the number of ₹5 notes be x

Then,

The number of ₹10 notes = 90- x

Then,

Sum rupees of ₹5 and ₹10 notes

denomination = ₹ 500

The number of ₹5 notes is x

= 5 x X = ₹5x

The number of ₹10 notes

= ₹10 (90-x)

Then

According to the question

5x + 10(90-x) = 500

5x + 900 - 10x = 500

5x - 10x = 900 - 500

5x - 10x = 400

5x = 400

X = 400/5

X = 80

Therefore,

The number of ₹5 notes = x = 80 notes

The number of ₹ 10 notes =

(90-x)

= (90 - 80)

= 10 notes

_____________________________

The number of ₹5 notes = 80

The number of ₹ 10 notes = 10

_____________________________

Verification-:

The total sum of a money -: ₹500

The number of ₹5 notes -: 80notes

5 x 80

= ₹400

The number of ₹10 notes-: 10 notes

= 10 x 10

= ₹100

₹400 + ₹100 = ₹500

₹500 = ₹500

Therefore,

LHS = RHS

Hence Verified
