Water = H2O

Molar mass of Water =

Atomic mass of 2H × Atomic mass of O

That is,

2 × 1 + 16 × 1 = 18u

Therfore molar mass of Water is 18g

Number of moles :

 \frac{given \: mass}{molar \: mass}

That is,

Given mass of water = 20grams.

Molar mass of water = 18grams.

Therefore,

Number of moles :

 \frac{20}{18}

1.11111.......

Number of moles = 1.111....in 20 grams of water.
